Bend Comedy and Arts Foundation
Founded in 2025, the Bend Comedy & Arts Foundation (BCAF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to honoring comedy’s unique power to uplift, connect, and inspire. Through live performances, community partnerships, and inclusive programming, BCAF works to expand access to the arts and build a thriving comedy scene in Central Oregon.
BCAF’s signature event is the annual Bend Comedy Festival, launching Labor Day Weekend 2025. The festival will showcase national headliners, rising comics from across the country, and a wide range of local talent. With more than 25 performers and multiple venues downtown, the festival is designed to bring neighbors together, introduce fresh voices, and make Bend a true destination for live comedy.
The organization is also committed to amplifying diverse voices in the arts. By supporting out-of-town performers with lodging assistance, creating volunteer opportunities for community members, and distributing free tickets through local nonprofits, BCAF helps remove barriers so that more people can take part in the festival.
In addition to the festival itself, BCAF advances its mission through:
Free Ticket Programs in partnership with local nonprofits to ensure underserved community members can attend live performances.
Local Artist Development with discounted submission fees, stage time opportunities, and the chance to connect with national acts.
Community Partnerships with arts organizations, businesses, and cultural groups to broaden access and celebrate shared values.
Volunteer Engagement that connects community members directly with performers and visiting talent.
We believe comedy belongs to everyone. By creating pathways for connection, BCAF makes live comedy more inclusive, accessible, and deeply rooted in Bend.
