Boise’s 2025 Comic of the Year Jasmine “Jaz” Rogers is a comedian and artist originally from the Parking Lot of America (Phoenix, AZ). After finding success on her YouTube channel of 10 years, “Jazmataz”, Jasmine brought her comedy to the stage in 2021. She has since headlined across the country with her theatre kid energy and rapping skills that knock audiences socks off. Jasmine’s bold and wonder-filled character extends into her visual art as well, which she sells online and at shows (@jazmatazdesign). She puts her diverse talents to use on stage, incorporating dance, music, and improvisation in her sets as a way to push the boundaries of stand up comedy and what it means to be a female comedian. Ren Q. Dawe is a trans comedian, activist, and professional silly goose. Dubbed a “queer icon” by Out Magazine, Ren made history as the first trans comic to perform in all 50 states with the Here to Pee tour, raising funds for LGBTQ+ nonprofits.

She’s garnered 100k followers across socials; she’s been featured in Buzzfeed, HuffPost, WNYC, and NPR. David Tveite

David Tveite (pronounced like “whitey” with a ‘t’ in front of it) is a lanky, perpetually embarrassed Minnesotan guy who has been thrilling and delighting audiences of all shapes and sizes with his standup comedy for over ten years. He is a cheerful pessimist with sharply crafted material that is absurd but acerbic, cranky but whimsical, and cerebral but also very, very stupid. People seem to like it for the most part. David has appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and performed at festivals across the country, including Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Atlanta’s Laughing Skull Comedy Festival and Seattle’s Bumbershoot Music Festival. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon.

Gena Gephart is a Chicago based standup comic. She has opened for comedians such as Colin Jost, Michael Che, and Natasha Leggero. She is a cast member at the Lincoln Lodge and was featured at the Team Coco Chicago showcase.

As far as mid-life crises go, Phil Griffiths’ wife stacks his career in stand-up comedy as better than a drug addiction but worse than him having a mistress. Phil has featured for Kevin Nealon, Beth Stelling, Chad Daniels, Greg Fitzsimmons, Ms. Pat, Laurie Kilmartin, Kyle Kinane, Jackie Kashian, and more. Phil has most recently performed in the West End, Limestone, Flyover, Bergamot and SLO Comedy Festivals.

Tom Achilles

Tom Achilles is a New York-based comedian, writer, filmmaker, and actor. His eclectic style blends elements of surrealism, stream of consciousness, and wordplay to satirize the absurdities of modern life. This approach is showcased in his 2025 comedy special Mindbender, produced by Pure Chaos Comedy, as well as his 2022 comedy album Guillotine. Tom’s sense of humor is also highlighted in Zeitgeist Meetup, a book of gag cartoons he co-authored with New Yorker cartoonist Pat Achilles. You can hear more from him on Tom & Will Start A Podcast, where he and fellow comedian Will Purpura discuss outlandish startup ideas. Achilles has also been involved in many projects across film and video. His short film Gone recently won “Best Experimental Short” at the AltFF Alternative Film Festival. In 2023, his digital comedy sketch “America’s Got Tom” was profiled by Vulture in their “Best Comedy Shorts” segment.
