Classic stand-up showcases, nationally touring headliner shows, Bend’s favorite joke competition, comedic jazzercise, a mind-reading magician, musical comedy, sketch, digital shorts, a queer comic showcase, and much more. It’s a little bit of everything, and it’s all made to be fun, welcoming, and genuinely good.
-
Who runs the festival?
The Bend Comedy Festival is run by a queer and women led nonprofit, the Bend Comedy and Arts Foundation. BCAF is here to spotlight fresh voices and bring world-class comedy to Central Oregon while making it accessible to everyone.
-
You're a non-profit, where does the money go?
Every dollar from tickets, passes, and sponsorships circles right back into the community and the art form:
Access & Equity: We earmark a portion of sales to underwrite blocks of free tickets for local nonprofits that serve veterans, seniors, low-income families, and kids who dream of working in the arts.
Artist Support: We cover lodging and fair pay for performers so emerging comics can afford to bring their voices to Bend.
Local Economy: We hire Bend crews, rent Bend venues, and partner with Bend businesses to keep festival dollars circulating close to home.
Long story short: when you buy a pass, you’re not just buying access to these events- you’re funding free seats for neighbors who need them and fueling a sustainable comedy scene in Central Oregon.
